OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an assistant designer to support the development of our technical apparel and headwear collections. This person will actively contribute to the product creation and development process in collaboration with the design team.
This role is suited for someone who is organized, curious, and detail-oriented, with strong product knowledge and a keen interest in technical design, materials, colors, and finishing details. You enjoy both the creative aspects and the more technical and operational follow-ups related to product development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the design team in developing technical apparel and headwear collections.
• Create, update, and organize tech packs in collaboration with the product team.
• Participate in the development of trims, artworks, product details, and packaging elements.
• Support the maintenance and organization of fabric, color, and product reference libraries.
• Assist in preparing presentations, documents, and tools related to collection development.
• Support the Product Manager with development communications and follow-ups.
• Participate in fittings, prototype reviews, and product development follow-ups as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Education in fashion design, industrial design, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Strong interest in technical apparel and accessories, particularly headwear and performance apparel.
• Strong sensitivity to colors, materials, and design details.
• Detail-oriented with a rigorous approach to work.
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills in both French and English.
• Sewing skills are considered an asset.
• Knowledge of programs and software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and/or Google Workspace. Experience with a PLM system is considered an asset.

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join the dynamic and inclusive team at espace|MTL. espace|MTL is the flagship store of Ciele Athletics — the starting point for anyone looking to discover running, its community, and our brand’s products and experiences through a retail environment. Our adjacent community space offers opportunities to connect with and experience running and the many facets of its vibrant community through regular meetups and events.
As Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in the overall performance of espace|MTL, contributing to sales results, team development, and community engagement. In this role, you will help create a strong and consistent customer experience, support the achievement of store sales goals, motivate the team on a daily basis, and help grow and strengthen Montreal’s running community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Experience & Leadership
• Support and enrich the employee experience throughout their journey by working closely with the espace|MTL Store Manager to identify and respond to team needs.
• Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor and provide hands-on leadership by delivering an exceptional customer experience approximately 85% of your week, while actively guiding and supporting the team.
• Develop talent within the espace|MTL team by supporting skill development related to products, new initiatives, and evolving ways of working.
• Empower the team to deliver the best possible customer experience by equipping employees to make the right decisions and encouraging autonomy in supporting customers.
• Participate in ongoing training and learning initiatives to support both individual and team development.
• Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment where everyone can contribute fully.
• Manage employee concerns and challenges, identifying when collaboration with internal support teams is needed to implement the appropriate actions.
Community
• Collaborate with the Store Manager and marketing team to organize and host events, drive traffic, and create engaging experiences for the community.
Operations & product
• Support store sales targets, team development, and community engagement objectives while ensuring alignment with company priorities and overall store performance.
• Actively contribute to achieving business results and optimizing the in-store customer experience.
• Ensure smooth store opening and closing procedures.
• Handle sales, returns, exchanges, refunds, and store credits.
• Oversee in-store product operations.
• Manage all product and inventory-related activities, including collection presentation, visual merchandising rotations aligned with global strategies, and sell-through analysis.
• Ensure products are presented according to our visual merchandising guidelines.
Environmental awareness
• Integrate social and environmental awareness into all store-related decisions.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• 1 year of customer service experience in a retail environment.
• 2 years of leadership and/or management experience in retail.
• Experience with management platforms and tools such as Shopify, Cin7, and Teams (an asset).
• Strong interest in running, movement, and active communities (an asset).
• Bilingualism (French and English) with excellent verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours.
• Ability to safely lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs on a regular basis.

OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for a Production & Quality Control Coordinator to join our team and support the full lifecycle of our collections from development through to final production (headwear and technical apparel). This role sits at the intersection of Design, factories and logistics. It’s a key position that keeps things moving ensuring timelines are met, details are dialed, and communication flows seamlessly across teams and partners.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and manage seasonal calendars in close collaboration with the Design team
- Act as a central point of coordination between internal teams (Design, Logistics, Finance) and external partners
- Communicate with factories and ensure alignment at every key stage of production
- Generate purchase orders for both samples and bulk production
- Coordinate sample shipments, track receipts, and oversee validation processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product data across systems
- Lead quality control coordination, including planning, execution, follow-up, and reporting
- Monitor production timelines, flag risks, and proactively identify solutions
- Keep product documentation clear, organized, and current
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements across development and production
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within production or product development
- Hands-on experience working with factories in Asia
- Strong understanding of product development workflows and supply chain dynamics
- Solid Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
- Exceptional organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with ERP or PLM systems (a strong asset)
- Clear and effective communication skills in both French and English
- Ease working with international teams and partners
